2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Cloudways Ltd. on DigitalOcean infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany. When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Log files are deleted automatically after a short retention period.
We also use the security plugin Wordfence, which processes IP addresses to detect and block attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Cookies and consent management
We only load Google Analytics, Google AdSense and the AWIN affiliate script after you click "Accept all" in our cookie banner (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you click "Reject all", none of these services are loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (key: pc_consent_v1) so we do not ask again; this storage is strictly necessary to remember your decision (§ 25(2) TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer; when you withdraw, we delete the analytics and advertising cookies our site can access. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. Advertising
Google AdSense
With your consent we display ads via Google AdSense, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. More information: Google advertising policies. 5. Analytics: Google Analytics 4
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics processes usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser information and approximate location; IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. Data may be transferred to the USA (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
6. Affiliate links (AWIN)
Some links on this website are affiliate links via the AWIN network (AWIN AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany). If you click such a link and sign up with the provider, AWIN records that the referral came from our website so that we can receive a commission. For this purpose AWIN may use cookies or similar technologies and process the click time, referring page and a transaction ID. We do not receive personal data that identifies you. The AWIN tracking script on our pages is only loaded with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). When you click an affiliate link, the redirect through AWIN's tracking domain records the referral; AWIN is responsible for that processing under its own privacy policy. 7. Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, subject, message) to answer your request. Form submissions are stored in our WordPress database and forwarded by email via Google (Gmail). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the data when it is no longer needed to handle your request, unless statutory retention periods apply.
8. Fonts and profile images
All web fonts are hosted on our own server; no connection to Google Fonts is made. Author images are loaded from Gravatar (Automattic Inc., USA), which also receives your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation of the website).
9. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object (Art. 21). To exercise your rights, email contact@payclarify.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), Kiel.
10. Third-party links
This website links to payment processor websites and other third-party sites. Their operators are responsible for their own data processing.
11. Children
This website is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes
We update this policy when our services or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
